Procedure for RLA Study
Power plant equipment and its components are operated into hi temperature, frequent fluctuation of pressure and temperature, frequent start/stop, erosion and corrosion environment. Collect the operation data identify the critical items and formulate plan for inspection. Flow diagram for RLA procedure is like below fig.
Boiler RLA:
Critical pressure parts of Boiler are:
· Drum- steam
· Headers- both steam and water
· Tubing- Super heater, water wall, economizer
· Piping- Steam and feedwater
· Deaerator
· Attemperator
